Health Information Management
Coder: Full Time (40 hours)
Assigns diagnostic and procedure codes to inpatient and outpatient records while at the same time creates consistency and efficiency in inpatient and outpatient coding and data collection to optimize DRG and APC reimbursement and required Federal & State reporting. Facilitates data quality in hospital inpatient and outpatient documentation.
1. Possess audit skills for coding quality and compliance.
2. Knowledge of ancillary testing/outpatient procedures (laboratory, x-ray, EKG, etc.) as they are related to hard coding and/or Charge-Master coding.
3. Expert knowledge of national coding guidelines and practices to include ICD-10-CM as applicable.
4. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
5. Broad knowledge of pharmacology indications for drug usage and related adverse reactions.
6. Experience and competency with the computer, keyboard and Internet Skills as well as encoding systems.
7. Detail oriented, analytical.
8. Strong process improvement skills.
9. Strong customer service and communication skills.

Nursing ER
Registered Nurse: Relief (varied hours)
Summary: Provides general nursing care to patients in hospital, nursing home, infirmary, or similar health care facility by performing the following duties.
Education Requirements: Diploma in Nursing, Associates Degree from two year college of Bachelors Degree from a four year college and successful completion of a prescribed curriculum of study which has led to licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas and gives evidence of possessing the experience of a licensed nurse on a staff level. Preferably has at least one year of successful practice in nursing and has previous critical care related nursing experience. Must be certified in BCLS, ACLS within 1 year, PALS and Trauma Nursing Core Course within 2 years.

Registered Nurse: Part Time (12 hours)
Summary: Provides general nursing care to patients in hospital, nursing home, infirmary, or similar health care facility by performing the following duties.
Education Requirements: Diploma in Nursing, Associates Degree from two year college of Bachelors Degree from a four year college and successful completion of a prescribed curriculum of study which has led to licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas and gives evidence of possessing the experience of a licensed nurse on a staff level. Preferably has at least one year of successful practice in nursing and has previous critical care related nursing experience. Surgery
Scrub RN/Scrub Tech: Full Time (40 hours)
Summary: Anticipate needs of surgeons during all surgical procedures in regards to handling of instruments, supplies, and the use of equipment utilized during all surgical procedures.
Education Requirements: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or Current Kansas RN license. BCLS required.

Registered Nurse: Full Time (36 hours)
Summary: Provides professional nursing care for medical and surgical patients according to established procedures.
Education Requirements: Diploma in nursing, associate's degree (A.D.N.) from two-year college or Bachelor's Degree (B.S.N.) from a four year college and successful completion of a prescribed curriculum of study which has led to licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas and gives evidence of possessing the experience of a licensed nurse on a staff level.

Summary: Coordinates and supervises clinic staff and office functions.
Education Requirements: Clinic experience with supervisor experience preferred. Public relations skills, computer skills, coding and medical terminology preferred.

Dietary Aide: Relief
Summary: Assures delivery of quality food and nutrition services to patients, visitors, and staff by performing the essential duties and responsibilities.
Education Requirements: Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions.

ARNP: Full Time (40 hours)
Summary: Provides primary health care services to patients of all ages under the supervision of a physician in a health care setting.
Education Requirements: State of Kansas registration and national certification after completion and graduation from accredited program and licensed in Kansas as ARNP.

Nurse Assistant: Relief
Summary: Attends nursing station and performs clerical and reception duties. Requisition supplies, equipment, and services as directed. .
Education Requirements: Evidence of being able to work as a member of a team, under close supervision, and follow instructions needed, completion of two weeks on the job training required and meets competency requirements. BCLS certification required. If the employee has not obtained the certification upon hire, then he / she must enroll in and complete the next available class offered.

Registered Nurse or Medical Assistant: Relief
Summary:
RN: Assists the physician by performing nursing assessments, treatments and by instructing all patients as needed.
Medical Assistant: Assists Physician with administrative and clinical aspects of medical care for patients.
Education Requirements:
RN: Associate's degree (A.D.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Current Kansas license of RN.
Medical Assistant: Evidence of being able to work as a team, under close supervision and follow instructions needed, completion of on the job training required. CMA certification or nearing completion. One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Information Systems
Network Specialist: Full Time
Summary: Supports all first line technical functions of Labette Health Information Systems network including all network hardware and software, and hospital information systems servers. Supports and maintains all PC deployment for facility. Provides secondary support of Network related systems including Switches, Routers and Firewalls. Web page and web application design knowledge helpful. Corepoint or other interface engine knowledge a plus. Ability to work effectively with all types of clients and personalities. Must be able to work with initiative and complete tasks without supervision.
Education Requirements: Appropriate healthcare or other network experience required. Bachelors degree in computer science preferred. Network certifications a plus.

Information Technology
Clinical Informaticist: Full Time
Summary: The Clinical Informaticist (CI) collaborates with clinical leaders across the health system to facilitate the achievement of the Labette IT organizations vision and strategy for the effective use and application of clinical information and technology to positively influence health care delivery, patient care outcomes, promote quality initiatives and make efficient use of resources. This position serves the overall development, implementation, education, and day-to-day support needs of clinical information systems (CIS) that involve physicians and clinicians (hereinafter clinical users). This includes but is not limited to the CPSI System (and its many subsystems) and any other adjoining 3rd-party systems that encompass the Computerized Patient Record. Achieving Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) (hereinafter Computerized Patient Record) is a strategic goal for Labette Health. This position will be largely responsible for facilitating the achievement of this goal through contributing substantially to its global design, implementation, integration, training and ongoing support. As a resource, the CI provides on-going user and informatics support for the healthcare system and maintains up-to-date knowledge of trends and advances in the field of Nursing and Healthcare Informatics.
Education Requirements: Diploma in nursing, Associate's Degree (A.D.N.) from two-year college or Bachelor's Degree (B.S.N.) from a four year college and successful completion of a prescribed curriculum of study which has led to licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas. Electronic clinical documentation experience with CPSI as a direct caregiver for a minimum of 2 years.

Wound Care
ARNP / Program Director: Full Time
Summary:
Responsible for successful management, operations and overall success of a full service outpatient wound care facility. Responsibilities include operations, personnel, budgets, reimbursement; quality management; marketing and sales; internal coordination with hospital staff; treatment outcomes.
Education Requirements: State of Kansas registration and national certification after completion and graduation and licensed in Kansas as ARNP. Three years of comprehensive supervisory and management experience in a health care setting. Knowledge of and experience in evaluation and treatment of wound and skin disorders.

Health Information Management
Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist: Full Time
The Clinical Documentation Specialist is responsible for the overall improvement of the quality, completeness and accuracy of the clinical documentation in the medical record. This position will promote appropriate clinical documentation through extensive interaction with the physicians, nursing staff and other patient caregivers as well as the Health Information Mgmt Coding Staff. This effort will ensure the clinical documentation is in compliance with guidelines from CMA, OIG, HFAP as well as the hospitals Medical Staff Bylaws. This process will ensure the clinical documentation reflects the severity of the patients illness and their risk of mortality while at the same time support medical necessity and validate the appropriate principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures are documented to the greatest specificity. This position will advise members of the medical staff and patient care team on published documentation guidelines on an ongoing basis. They will serve as the liaison between the medical staff and both internal and external educators as it relates to documentation.
This position must be able to communicate effectively and diplomatically with the multi-functional team, including physicians, coders, and other members of the patient care team. They must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail as well as the ability to successfully function in a fast-paced environment. They must have experience with databases, spreadsheets and word processing computer applications. Must have experience researching the internet for references such as CMS, HFAP, AHIMA, etc. This position will be able to demonstrate knowledge of ICD-9-CM and MS-DRG coding principles and guidelines or have the willingness to learn the applications as relative to the position.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse, Coding Specialist, or Registered Health Information Administrator/Technician. Current exposure to or experience with ICD-9-CM coding and DRG assignment.

Float Registered Nurse / Patient Satisfaction Coach /
Assistant Physician Recruitment: Full Time (40 hours)
Provides professional nursing care for medical, surgical, ICU, ER, clinic, OR patients according to established procedures. Will also provide assistance in other areas of hospital representing nursing and plans for improvement which may include but not limited to: clinical, support, technical areas of the facility.
Works with various clinical departments to increase customer service standards. Provides education and guidance for best practices in each area that gives care to patients.
Assists director with special projects as needed. Coordination of locums as needed.
Will provide direct assistance to physician recruitment director. May assist with scheduling, typing sending memos. Will also assist with the organization of information as instructed. Will back up physician recruitment director as needed, this will include touring providers, arranging schedules, and answering questions in reference to needs. Performs other duties as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Diploma in nursing, associate's degree (A.D.N.) from two-year college or Bachelor's Degree (B.S.N.) from a four year college and successful completion of a prescribed curriculum of study which has led to licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas and gives evidence of possessing the experience of a licensed nurse on a staff level. BCLS certification is required. If the RN has not obtained the certification upon hire, then he / she must enroll in and complete the next available class offered. Due to the multiple work areas, must have seven years of experience.
