Dr. Philip Gorman, anesthesiologist, joins Labette Health

PARSONS, Kan., Aug. 11, 2011 – Philip L. Gorman, M.D., a Fort Scott native, has returned to Southeast Kansas to join Labette Health’s medical staff as an anesthesiologist. His first day at the hospital was August 8.

Dr. Gorman, who completed his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, recently completed a three-year anesthesiology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. In 2008, he completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. As a medical student, he was named “Outstanding Student in Anesthesiology.” He earlier graduated summa cum laude from Kansas State University in Manhattan with a bachelor’s degree in life sciences.

Dr. Gorman and his wife, Jackie, are expecting their first child, a boy, in September.
