PARSONS, Kan., Oct. 18, 2011 – In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Labette Health's departments decorated a flock of pink flamingos. The 39 flamingos are on display in the hospital's main street corridor through the end of October. Employees and visitors had an opportunity to vote for their favorites at $.25 per vote,
and the winning Pharmacy entry raised $60 in votes. The total amount donated is $430.80, which will go to providing assistance to women in the area who cannot afford mammograms.
