Announces Fundraising Gala
PARSONS, Kan., July 27, 2009 – Set Sail for Parsons' premier event of the year! On October 24th hundreds will party on the high seas aboard the spectacular ship Destination Voyage to benefit Labette Health Foundation.
"We dream big, and we’re sharing the dream with you! The third floor of the new Medical Office Building will be transformed into a cruise ship for this extravaganza where you will enjoy an exciting evening of food, fun and entertainment," explains Foundation President, Brian West. "Prepare to be amazed by a 56 foot fabulous, over-the-top food buffet. Experience the thrill of wondering if you will be the “Last Man On Board” Be one of the first to know who will be named a Health Care Hero in Labette County…and so much more!"
Funds raised will provide the opportunity to make advances towards the conversion of ten double occupant rooms to single rooms with a deluxe, hotel-style atmosphere. Once completed each room will feature a large-screen interactive TV monitor, patient ceiling lifts, computerized technology for medical and nursing staff, sleeper sofas in each room, as well as new paint and interior décor. Labette Health Foundation is dedicated to providing funding to support programs centered around the mission of Labette Health.

Murray Company as Gala Presenting Sponsor
PARSONS, Kan., Sept. 17, 2009 – Labette Health Foundation is pleased to announce Murray Company as the presenting sponsor of the gala fundraiser, Destination Voyage, to be held on October 24th in Labette Health's new Medical Office Building. Murray Company has been instrumental in the ongoing construction projects for the last several years, contributing to the hospital's growth.
Founded in 1959, Murray Company offers program management, design build, and construction management services to healthcare organizations such as Labette Health. The Kansas City and St. Louis based company recognized the need to provide assistance to healthcare clients in the Midwest and began a relationship with Labette Health in 2002.
With a mission statement that reads "provide integrated design and construction services that enable our clients to grow and prosper," Murray Company has assisted Labette Health for the past eight years with over $33,000,000 of facility improvements to better service the community. Company executive, Philip Schultze remarked, "There is a sense of purpose and vision as you reach out and provide healthcare services to your community. We believe that with our donation, Labette Health Foundation is able to help those in need in ways that Murray Company is unable to.
